Adopt A School 11 churches have adopted all 9 Title 1 schools in McKinney. 3e supplies mentors, tutors and volunteers to help in each school. We coordinate the program Food 4 Kid to supply backpacks, which fed around 850 students each weekend. We also coordinate Christmas Angels for more than 2400 McKinney ISD Students. Many expenditures are directly from the partner churches.
Clothe a Child provides NEW clothing to low income students enrolled in the 9 Title One Elementary Schools and 1 Early Education Center. The program is provided in collaboration with McKinney Independent Schoold District, City of McKinney and partner churches.
Run for Cover is a one day 3e McKinney 1, 5 & 10K walk/run to raise money for the Samaritan Inn (Collin County's only homeless shelter). All gross proceeds from the event go to The Samaritan Inn, Family Promise, Shiloh Place and operation of the 3e McKinney Express (transportation for homeless and elderly).
Go and Be the Church is a neighborhood revitalization and beautiful event which involves volunteers going into neighborhoods to repair homes and cleanup areas for the under resourced residents of McKinney.
Miscellaneous projects. These were minor events which provided basis necessities such as school supplies, hygiene items and clothing to the financially under-resourced individuals in McKinney
Mobile Shower Project. The homeless population within McKinney is growing at an alarming rate and there are few facilities to meet the needs of the individuals with dignity. In collaboration with a group who had applied for their 501(c)5, we helped raise funds and distributed the funds once there was sufficient donation to purchase a shower trailer which is moved to various locations weekly to provide showers and basis necessities to allow the individuals to start seeking employment and maintain dignity.
Back to School Ralley was an event which the City of McKinney helped advertise and provided facilities for an event to issue school supplies for students grades PK-12 who would be starting school without basic supplies. Hygiene kits were distributed and haircuts provided so that children could start school on a positive note.
3e Xpress was operated by 3e McKinney the first half of 2017 to help fill the gap for homeless and elderly residents of McKinney until the City of McKinney implemented limited public transportation.
