Product update: Enhanced Cause IQ organization search experience

Published Dec. 22, 2023

New search filter sidebar and Advanced search

Cause IQ's enhanced organization search creates a more intuitive nonprofit search experience for our users. The updates to the search interface help you access and add relevant filters more quickly, easily recreate previously done searches, understand your current search parameters, and more.

Updated search filter sidebar

You'll notice a new look to Cause IQ's search filter sidebar on the left of the organization search interface. Cause IQ displays a few of the most commonly used filters by all of our users, including Types, Total revenues, and Location. The other filters displayed are dynamic and update based on your Cause IQ usage.

Adding filters with the new search filter sidebar

You'll notice one-click checkboxes for both quantitative and qualitative filters in Cause IQ. The values available to select within any given filter come from a combination of popular values among all customers and your recently used values for the corresponding filter. If you don't see the filter value you want to search on, simply click the "Find value" dropdown for qualitative filters or enter your desired maximum and minimum values for quantitative filters and Cause IQ adds the filter.

Here's a look at the one-click filter behavior and where to find more filter values on the search filter sidebar:

Current filter pills

You can see all the current filters for your organization search at the top of the search interface. These colored filter pills display the name of the filter and the value(s) you've selected.

If you want to update a filter, click the filter pill you want to adjust, and Cause opens the filter in the Advanced search where you can make the appropriate changes.
