We recently added historical grant details to the Funding worksheet of our downloadable detailed organization Excel reports. Researching historical grant details can be a great way to discover potential funding opportunities for your nonprofit, or to understand an organization's grant history.

The first step to access historical grant information for a specific organization is to open the organization's profile page in Cause IQ. Next, click the "Download" button in the upper-right side of the page and select the "Detailed Excel report" option.

Here's a look at where you'll find the Download button and Detailed Excel report option on an organization's profile page:

Once downloaded, open the file and click the "Funding" tab at the bottom. Then, scroll down to the "Historical grants from foundations and other nonprofits" section at the bottom of the worksheet. Here you'll find a list of up to 2,500 current and past grants received with the following data columns:

• Grantmaker
• Grantmaker tax period
• Most recent
• Description
• Amount
