Program areas at DC127
Communities for Families (CFF): Our communities for families program has continued to thrive and provide much needed support to families in the District. In FY21 CFF served families with children using volunteers. Altogether we calculate those volunteers spent 15,000 hours serving families and children last year. We are incredibly impressed by the ways DC127 volunteers continue to show up and support families and children.
Foster Care: DC127 continues to support foster parents and assist potential foster parents through the foster care system. As DC127's current foster parents continue to care for and welcome children, most of FY21 was spent holding orientations for potential new foster parents and providing training for new and current foster parents in the city.
Church Mobilization: Churches are the core of DC127's mission. Our 23 church partners have helped us serve over 175 children and recruit over 100 volunteers. DC127 continues to recruit new churches including the addition of new partners in FY21.
