The Bexar County Performing Arts Center Foundation was established to provide an exceptional home for the arts that promotes a diverse range of cultural, educational, and artistic experiences to improve the quality of life in San Antonio. In 2022, whilst in the midst of recovering from the global pandemic, The Tobin Center hosted 322 events that brought the very best of the performing arts world to San Antonio. The venue welcomed approximately 150,000 visitors through its doors. The Tobin Centers education programs provide access to arts experiences to students and teachers, serving over 20,000 children in Bexar County in 2022. Tobins Community Outreach offers free wellness classes, family movies nights, festivals, and other community events. More than 7,000 people attended fifty four Community Outreach events in 2022. The Tobin Center is home to five resident arts organizations, Classical Music Institute, Opera San Antonio, Ballet San Antonio, Youth Orchestra San Antonio, and The Childrens Chorus.
