Grants administration:in fy22, cje provided grants to students and teachers in day schools, religious schools, and early childhood centers, including $200,000 for high school students to study in israel. Cje distributed equipment and services to families impacted by childhood mental health, autism, or obesity. Grants were also distributed to organizations for innovative educational programming. Other grants included partnership programming for israel Education from preschool through high school.
Services to schools: cje provided best practice and curriculum consultation to teachers 14 early childhood centers, day schools, and religious schools. This included state approved professional development classes and mentortraining for teachers. Gesher latorah, cje's religious school for disabled students opened with a virtual option. Cje continued to provide special Education advocacy for families who have need for special services as well as interpreting and captioning services to schools. Cje continues to serve The deaf community through interpreting services at community classes and events.
Engagement programming: The cje provided resources for Jewish family programming in fy22. The cje distributed pj library books to subscribers (children from birth to age 11). There were virtual and in person programs during The year, including programs for holidays, mitzvah days, baking, crafting and shabbat. During The year, cje ran special programming for grandparents, families, The russian speaking commnity in baltimore, and The deaf and hard of hearing.
