Program areas at The Center for Independence
Adult day training is The first step toward Independence for individuals who are developmentally disabled. Daily living skills, reading, math, self-care, and human growth and development are important areas for people who are working their way toward personal and employment Independence. These skills are taught in The facilities and The community. During The year, The organization provided adult day training programs.
Residential services provide a family residential living environment for individuals with developmental disabilities in order to maintain their participation in The community after moving out of their parents' home or state institution.
Transportation consists of a fleet of vans that transport individuals from their homes to The organization's facilities in east and west pasco county, and provide transportation for a variety of other trips to enhance community Independence. Services include "on demand" services to any disabled individual in pasco county.
