The number of people around the world forced from their homes by disasters, climate change, and conflict crossed 100 million for the first time in 2022, according to united nations data. Shelterbox rose to meet this challenge, significantly expanding the scope and reach of our programs. Shelterbox served over 429,000 people in 2022, nearly three times as many as it reached in 2021. That's more than 80,000 families. Shelterbox responded in 12 countries around the world, providing customized aid packages including emergency shelter, solar lights, blankets, clothing, water filters, hygiene kits, and other live-saving aid to families and individuals who lost everything, helping them start to rebuild their lives.
