DIALYSIS FACILITY: Provides in-center, home hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services for patients with kidney failure (end-stage kidney disease) through 10 centers in New York City, Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx.
RESEARCH: basic science and clinical research program studying kidney disease, renal replacement therapy (dialysis, kidney transplantation) and regenerative medicine. The program develops and tests new therapeutic modalities for kidney disease and its causes, including diabetes, lipid disorders and cardiovascular disease.
Immunogenetics and transplatation center: a histocompatibility laboratory that performs tissue typing evaluations to facilitate organ transplantation.
