Larry Rivers Foundation

Aid to charitable, literary or educational activities serving the common good.

The Larry Rivers Foundation, Inc. has as its exempt purpose the advancement of the visual arts and education of the public about the visual arts and, in particular, the work of the late artist Larry Rivers. It accomplishes these purposes by making grants to public charities that support the visual arts, holding exhibitions of works of art created by Larry Rivers in museums, universities and other public art collections, and creating a catalogue raisonne of the works of art created by Larry Rivers. The items sold by the Foundation further its exempt purposes by placing the works of art by Larry Rivers in the public realm and allowing the Foundation to fulfill its charitable mandate in accordance with its purpose.
