Program areas at The Jim Henson Foundation

Puppetry at The carriage house (patch): a residency program setup through The Jim Henson Foundation with support from The jane Henson Foundation. Puppet theater artists are given access to The Henson carriage house space for 5-6 days to rehearse their new work and then perform a work-in-progress at The end of The week in front on an invited audience with a feedback session following The performance. Artists are also given a $1,000 stipend to help offset costs incurred during The residency. The patch residency was awarded to four artists in 2022: andy gaukel, sachiyo takahashi & rowan magee, charlotte lily gaspard, and marcella murray.
Richard exhibit - montreal: The Jim Henson Foundation presents: american puppet theater today: The photography of richard termine, an exhibit of over 100 photographs depicting The breadth and vibrancy of The american puppet theater scene, with a special focus on new york city puppet theater artists. In 2022 The exhibit toured to montreal to The festival de casteliers march 3-april 3 at The galerie d'outremont.
