Shofuso operation - jasgp operates shofuso Japanese House and Garden as a living museum with ticketed admission and provides educational programs including craft and music workshops, group tours, virtual tours , after school programs and cultural events. The full time site manager oversees docents including training, scheduling, logistics and day to day operations.
Re-imagining recovery projects - jasgp has been awarded 240k in grants from The pew center for The art and heritage to make changes and apply our organizational values to achieve diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion in all areas of our work. Through this re-imagining recovery project, jasp re-examines cultural interpretations and restructures internal organizational culture and external relationships. This program is focused on cross-cultural and cross-racial education , programs and events as well as internal staff education on deai and cultural sensitivity training.
Educational programs - jasgp organizes a variety of in person and onine educational programs related to Japanese culture, architecture and land -scape designs, us-japan relations, Japanese language classes, Japanese tea demonstrations, bus tours and more.
