Program areas at Heritage Valley Health System
Hvb building systems upgrade 1,630,000heritage Valley System Foundation expended $1,630,000 during the period of july 2021 to june 2022 from board-designated funds to reimburse Heritage Valley beaver, a division of Valley medical facilities, inc., a related tax-exempt organization, for building systems and facilities capital projects, in order to address the aging infrastructure of the Heritage Valley beaver campus. Some of the larger projects that the Foundation reimbursed the hospital for included roof replacement and replacement of air handling units.
Heritage Valley Health System Foundation reimbursed Valley medical facilities, inc., a tax related organization, $229,834 to pay for services for qualified needy as assessed by case management, funds are also provided from the addison gibson Foundation to assist patients with Health care who may go without treatment because of financial concerns.
Heritage Valley Health System Foundation reimbursed Valley medical facilities, inc., a related tax-exempt organization, $301,892 for additional operating costs incurred by the hospitals related to the covid-19 pandemic for patient care including the funding of critically important personal protective equipment for staff.
Heritage Valley Health System Foundation transferred to sewickley ymca, a 501(c)(3) organization, $22,345 to support the faith in action program from funds raised specifically for that purpose. Faith in action provides transportation for senior citizens to doctor appointments, medical tests and medical treatments for patients with cancer and chronic conditions.
