Program areas at Hendricks House
Hendricks House inc.'s program service accomplishments include providing halfway House treatment to several hundred clients. Our clinical director certified and licensed clinicians, as well as consulting psychologist and psychiatric staff assisted in providing addiction and co-occurring treatment, with the overall therapeutic goal of helping our clients establish sober productive lifestyles. Our employment specialists assisted in providing employment and vocational services. By stressing employment along with the addiction treatment which includes group, individual, and family therapies, we have found that our clients feel more productive early on which increases the likelihood of a stable recovery. New jersey's 2013 performance provider report showed that a higher percentage of Hendricks House, inc.'s clients completed treatment, and retained employment than the state average. The facility provides a caring, highly structured environment where people recovering from addiction can regain their self-worth and develop skills necessary to make a sober, successful, transition back to work, family and society. When clients enter one of our halfway houses, they are entering a homelike environment that is clean, safe, supportive and reflective of a healthy lifestyle. Also, while in treatment, our clients learn self-care along with the daily life skills of caring for a home while performing daily chores around the House and on the grounds. Our kitchen facilities were used daily to teach clients menu planning, safe food preparation, cooking and serving of meals.
