Cats and kittens in this program are domesticated but displaced and typically come from the following sources: 1. The feral program-domesticated cat trapped with feral colonies. 2. Kittens born to feral and stray mothers. 3. Local animal shelters. 4. Owners who can no longer care for their pets. In 2022 179 cats and kittens found permanent homes through Feral Friends' adoption program.
Feral Friends Community Cat Alliance promotes TNR trap neuter return the only humane and effective method of feral cat management with it's RTRL Race to Reduce Litters program. Team feral volunteers work with concerned individuals to assist thousands of feral cats in the community. The organization offer options for education and support. As a result concerned individuals become active participants in the goal to make the community a better place for both cats and humans. In 2022 Feral Friends volunteers and caregivers trapped and spayed neutered 682 cats and kittens in the Dallas-Ft Worth area.
