Program areas at Family Service of Northwest Ohio

FAMILY COUNSELING/MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES:Mental Health Counseling/Psychotherapy, Diagnostic Assessment, Medication Somatic Services, and Community Psychiatric Supportive Services are provided within the scope of the Agency's family counseling / mental health services program. Counseling brings about improvements in symptoms associated with serious or chronic issues, as well as services specific to children. These services also include Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation, Intensive Home Based Treatment, and many different Prevention services, all aimed at helping children and families manage the challenges within their family situation. See Schedule O for Continuation.FAMILY COUNSELING/MENTAL HEALTH Services also include our Assertive Community Treatment, Criminal Justice, and Youth Assessment programs.During FY2015, we added Crisis Intervention and Crisis Stabilization services due to the merger with First Call for Help.In March 2017, additional 1-bed Adult CSU wing opened at Comprehensive Crisis Care location.6,568 clients served during FY 201731,717 hours of counseling / mental health services provided across all service locations during FY 20171,695 Crisis Stabilization Bed Days
FAMILY VIOLENCE INTERVENTION SERVICES:Services are provided for both victims of domestic violence, as well as violence perpretrators. Victims are provided with support and advocacy, while the perpretrators undergo programming are helped to identify and be held accountable for their controlling and violent behaviors. The desired outcomes are to keep victim families safe and secure, as well as prevent future violence on the part of the batterer.63 Batterers served132 Victims served
HOME CARE PERSONAL CARE AND HOMEMAKING SERVICES:Services provided to frail elderly and disabled individuals which allows them to maintain dignity and respect in their familiar surroundings preventing premature institutionalization. Bathing, grooming, homemaking, meal preparation, and errands are among the services provided by home health aides and homemakers.89 clients served during FY 201714,161 hours of service provided during FY 2017
