Upward Bound is a nationally acclaimed program that serves hundreds of high school students each year. The program provides suport, tutoring, and opportunities such as college tours and financial aid workshops to participants in their preparation for college entrance. It seeks to increase the rate at which low-income, first-generation students graduate from institutions of post-secondary education.
Mentoring Dimes is a 21CCLC program that takes place after-school to provide academic enrichment, tutoring, cultural activities, and recreational and service learning opportunities to students in 5th through 8th grades. Its goals are to increase the academic success of participants, nuture mental well-being of students and eradicate negative social beliefs by serving nearly 100 youth each year.
Green Corps Chicago is the City of Chicagos green industry job training program for individuals with barriers to employment. Green Corps mission is to promote environmental stewardship and improve the quality of life in Chicago by establishing, maintaining, and restoring natural and public spaces that are safe, healthy and sustainable through hands-on involvement with trainees.
