Program areas at The Communications Network
Annual Conference:In 2022, The Network held its first in-person conference since 2019, gathering over 900 communicators from across the globe in Seattle. The conference sold out and earned a 95% approval rating from attendees. The conference featured a full slate of keynote, breakout sessions, peer-led learning sessions, and networking opportunities.
Communications:The Network communicates regularly with its membership through several channels. We regularly send emails to our 10,000+ person email list, including a monthly newsletter. The Network's Google Group listserv continued to see high engagement in 2022, and existed in conjunction with our Members Community platform online. ComNetwork.org also offered many ways to connect to The Network's offerings. We also regularly survey our membership.
Management & General:Network programming continued to offer many ways for members to engage with and learn from the field. Circles helped members connect around issue areas and job functions. Online learning sessions and webinars delivered key insights. Tools like ComNetworkDEI.org and Storytelling for Use saw wide use. Our thought leadership program, The Clarence B. Jones Impact Award, elevated another transformational communications campaign. ComNetworkLOCAL continued to meet, albeit mostly virtually, in over a dozen cities around the country. And The Network continued to surface salient research and tools for our members.
