Food Pantries:In 2022, attendance at the Greenwich and Cossayuna Food Pantries reached an all-time high serving over 20,400 individuals.CFC pantries provided food access for nearly 135 households every week. Over 290,000 lbs. of food and goods distributed.148 new households visited CFC pantries throughout 2022.
Other Program Services
Food Recovery Program (formally known as Fresh Food Collective):In 2022, Food partnered with 30 local farms and producers.Over 130,000 lbs. of fresh food recovered and distributed in 2022.$83,400 in produce purchases by Food Recovery from our local farmers in 2022. The 2021 number included meat and dairy across all programs, that number for 2022 is just under $139,000.Free Food Runs in 2022 served over 150 individuals each week and distributed a total of 6,248 lbs. of food. Holiday Free Food Runs served over 380 individuals on each run and distributed over 3,000 lbs. of food. Those sites included the Kingsbury Senior Center, Cedars Senior Living Community, Earl Towers, Skenesborough Harbor, Stichman Towers, and Cronin High Rise. CFCs Farm-2-Library program supported libraries including Argyle, Crandall, Easton, Greenwich, Whitehall, Pember, Salem, Cambridge, Schuylerville, Rockwell Falls, and Corinth. We distributed over 45,000 lbs. of free, fresh food to libraries in 2022. Food Recovery also provided weekly support in 2022 for eight additional agencies with over 37,000 lbs. of produce to amend the offerings they may already have as a food pantry or emergency feeding site. These include: Queensbury Methodist Church, FSA, LEAP, Earl Towers, Cronin, Whitehall Pantry, Mtn View Commons, Salem Pantry, and Community Action.
