Colorado African Organization supports Colorado's refugee, immigrant, and asylum-seeking populations in their pursuit of integration, self-sufficiency, and freedom. CAO offers programs that provide community navigation, education for language skills development, as well as resources and links to systems in the U.S., including housing, healthcare, and employment.

Program areas at Colorado African Organization

Community navigation - bridging the gap between resettlement and self- sufficiency, cao navigators provide resources and links to systems in the u.s. Including education, housing, healthcare and employment. Education - in order to build the language skills necessary for self- sufficiency, cao provides weekday and weekend classes for english language learners (ell/esl) as well as a robust citizenship training program. Community development - following resettlement, cao provides opportunities for local integration by building, supporting and strengthening our refugee communities through community organizing and organizational development.
