Supplement faculty support for full-time African professors. One of CLA's priorities is to support the African faculty at AIU so that their salaries and living expenses are adequately covered. Funds raised by CLA are applied to their compensation. CLA also manages endowment funds for some of these faculty members according to their departments (Biblical Studies, Islamic Studies) that are raised and invested in the U.S.
Scholarships for undergraduate, PHD, and Masters students from numerous African countries. Many Africa International University (AIU) students benefited from CLA scholarship donations during this past academic year. Many received full scholarships of $3,000. These scholarships are applied to tuition and in some cases housing costs for the students. The CLA Executive Director monitored the progress of each of these students, meeting most of them in person during his campus visit in February, and consulted with the Financial Aid Director at AIU about their financial needs. CLA also supports the doctoral students at AIU.
The Calvary School in Nairobi, Kenya which is a K-6 Elementary School and a 7-9 Junior Secondary school for disadvantaged children in Nairobi. Additionally, CLA sponsors students from grades 7-12 to attend schools outside of Kibera. For grades 7-9 the students are day students. For grades 10-12 the students are boarded at their chosen school.
