Program areas at CSPC
Policy, security and competitiveness programs: a) space policy - CSPC continued a project on innovative private sector space capabilities and their integration into national security missions. B) cybersecurity/geotech - CSPC continued dialogues between global leaders, government and the private sector to tackle cybersecurity challenges and improve coordination within government and threat information-sharing with the private sector. C) political reform and civility - CSPC continued to examine grassroots movements for political reform and avenues to address incentives towards partisanship in american politics along with problems related to gerrymandered political districts. D) policy roundtables - CSPC hosted several discussions on technology policy and competitiveness, biodefense and cyber education.
Presidential history and leadership: a) presidential studies quarterly (psq) is the only scholarly journal that focuses on the president of the united states. An invaluable resource for understanding the u.s. Presidency, the quarterly focuses on presidential decision-making, relations with other branches and public policy issues both domestic and foreign.
the presidential and international felllows program: a) the presidential fellows program - gives approximately 40 students the opportunity to Study the u.s. Presidency, the public policy process and the interplay of the Presidency, Congress, the media and the american public. the fellows have the opportunity to meet top policy makers and network with their peers. the fellows write an original research paper on the Presidency and/or Congress and attend a three-day conference in Washington, d.c. twice each year. B) the international fellows program - since 2011, CSPC international fellows participate in the presidential fellows program. Scholars from international colleges and universities join the presidential fellows and also participate in an expanded week-long conference in Washington, d.c. once per year.
