Bronx Academy of Promise prides itself on the ability to produce high quality education that raises student achievement while attending to the social and emotional needs of each individual student. Last year we focused on the safe return of all our students and staff while maintaining our commitment to individualized academic progress. To this goal, we employed an additional counseling support member while implementing a social-emotional program, second step, to assist the staff with a variety of issues. This professional learning program for k12 educators is designed to build trust, help manage stress, explore equity and belonging, and cultivate resilience and efficacy. Baop continues to believe that consistency, collaboration and small individualized instruction is what is best for our students. During the 2021-2022 School year we invested in the i-ready program to help support academic progress. I-ready programs support every learner on their path toward grade-level success. By connecting to actionable, intuitive data, teachers know where to focus and students become more capable and engaged.
