Description
The Boy Scouts of America Durland Scout Center Trust provides support for the Durland Scout Reservation and the Westchester-Putnam Council BSA. A fund for the benefit of the council was created pursuant to a bequest by Agatha Alling Durland. In 1982, twenty years after her death, the council received the assets of the original trust fund and at the same time established a spending formula. The assets of the council's trust funds are managed to provide high total returns consistent with prudent investment practices, ensuring long-term returns sufficient to cover the return requirements.
