Program areas at Best of the Bayou

The organization raised funds by sponsorships to facilitate, promote and maintain the annual event with the purpose of making Houma-Terrebonne a premier tourist destination and quintessential community, with excess funds dedicated to educational endeavors related to Gulf coastal management. The annual event was accomplished by showcasing Houma-Terrebonne as a premier tourist destination through a multi-day celebration of music, food, arts, and our unique culture. At the festival merchandise/food/drinks/alligator race tickets were sold to also raise money for the organization's mission. Due to inclimate weather in prior years, the festival has only accumulate funds sufficient to fund educational initiatives for two organization through the alligator race funds.
