BVOH builds community cohesion and identity through arts-based activities that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the diverse Bayview neighborhood, and that appeal to multiple generations of both traditional and new residents. As the community's cultural anchor, BVOH re-vitalizes BV/HP by supporting and organizing culturally relevant art exhibits, performances, and community festivals.BVOH also offers arts education to young people in a neighborhood whose schools cannot teach the arts; we thus build appreciation of and add to the neighborhood's artistic assets.
