Program areas at Batavia Business Improvement District Management Association
Business development committee - focuses on identifying economic opportunities, strengthens exising businesses and recruits new ones, attracts new uses to the District, helps revitalize unused space, monitors the District's economic progress and cultivates the entrepreneurial spirit.
Organization committee - provides leadership and improves the way downtown is organized. It helps strengthen the Management skills of individuals and to bring together the concerns of various groups that have a stake in downtown- merchants, bankers, property owners, city government, the chamber of commerce, civic groups and other governmental agencies.
Design committee - responsible for any activity or effort that improves the appearance and enhances the overall image of downtown. This includes facades of buildings, streetscape projects, signage and parking.
Promotional committee - focuses on promoting the District's unique characteristics to shoppers, investors, new businesses and visitors by an effective program that forges a positive image through advertising, special events and marketing campaigns.
Parking & safety committee - reviews, develops and implements plans that address the ever-changing issues with parking and safety in the downtown District.
