Isolate organizations by geographic areas

Use Cause IQ to find organizations in states, metro areas, cities, or zip codes


Cause IQ allows you to search organizations by:

  • Cities
  • States
  • Zip codes
  • Metropolitan statistical areas ("metros")

Metros contain multiple cities, often in multiple states, surrounding a given major city. For example, the Washington, D.C. metro area contains Arlington, VA and Bethesda, MD.

Using the Metro area filter -- accessible from both the "Common" filters and "All" filters tabs, in the "Name, type, and location" section -- is the easiest way to search for results in a primary city as well as its surrounding areas. For example, when trying to find results in Washington, DC, using the Washington-Arlington-Alexandria metro area will include the larger geographical area. This is helpful when you are either unsure of a target's exact location or when performing geographical analysis.
