Program areas at Womens Center of East Texas
The thrift store receives donations of clothing and household goods. Some of the donations are used to assist clients with necessary items. The remainder donations are sold to help support the domestic and/or sexual violence programs of the Center.
The crisis intervention program provides counseling and an emergency hotline for victims of sexual assault and family violence. Publications are distributed to increase community awareness. The shelter program provides temporary housing, food, and clothing as well as client assistance for medical, legal fees, and travel for victims of domestic violence.
