Program areas at The Transgender Resource Center of New Mexico
Drop-in services: tgrcnm's community drop in Center offers a wide array of free services to community members. These services include, but are not limited to: access to food, clothing, showers, laundry, and computers; non-medical case management including emergency financial assistance, identity document support, and linkage to care with other community agencies and service providers; information and referrals to affirming providers; video visits, letter writing and limited commissary support for Transgender individuals living in correctional facilities; and peer led support groups. These services are available statewide.
Hiv services: tgrcnm offers a harm reduction program which includes hiv testing, syringe exchange services and overdose prevention education. This program serves an average of 200 unique individuals annually.
Tal services: tgrcnm opened a thrift store in 2018 to provide workforce development skills and internship program opportunities. This program was also to generate additional sources of funds to support other tgrcnm programming.
Tgrcnm provides multiple other programs that all add to its complete mission.
