Program areas at The League of Women Voters of Texas Education Fund
Published 35,500 print copies of The general election Voters guide in both english and spanish; published an online version of The Voters guide (vote411) in english and spanish, which drew over 400,000 viewers; sent texts to over 10,000 Voters to remind them of election day.
Worked with our coalition partners to inform students about voting rights and to promote be a Texas voter, an educational program aimed at high school and college level developed by lwv-dallas; joined a lawsuit to prevent purge of naturalized citizens from The Texas voter rolls; supported The publication of a Texas suffrage ebook.
Mentored 12 newly-forming local leagues and provided financial and program support; worked to update our criminal justice and land use positions with The participation of local leagues; provided $1,000 in grant money to local leagues to purchase access to vote411; worked with local leagues to coordinate coverage of legislative districts for local Voters guides; provided training to leagues in The use of vote411.
