Program areas at Spurwink Services

Spurwink provides out-of-home treatment for children and adolescents in 1) residential treatment facilities in Cumberland and Kennebec Counties serving about 51 youths per year; 2) three Special Purpose Private Schools in Cumberland, Androscoggin, and Kennebec Counties and a Therapeutic Pre-School in York County serving 147 students per year; and 3) treatment foster homes in southern and central Maine serving about 38 children per year.
Spurwink provides residential and day programs for about 124 adults living with intellectual disabilities and autism through more than 30 homes and 2 intermediate care facilities in York, Cumberland and Androscoggin Counties, and 24 Shared Living homes.
Spurwink provides outpatient and community based services for individuals - children, adolescents and adults living with mental health or intellectual disabilities or suspected abuse. Those services are offered at numerous sites throughout Maine and include Behavioral Health Homes, Opioid Health Home, Living Room Crisis Center, Trauma focused treatment for refugees as well as a number of contracted services for the Maine Department of Health and Human Services. These programs serve approximately 8,116 individuals per year.
