Security Advisor Alliance

Work with cybersecurity industry leaders and school districts to inform students, teachers, and parents about careers in cybersecurity, and the different paths to those careers. The Alliance held 6 events in 2021 that involved 500 students and 100 cyber professionals. Due to covid restrictions, some of the events were done virtually in 2021.

In partnership with industry leaders, the Alliance provided a digital and printed career guide to students and eduations that map the paths to different types of cybersecurity careers. The guides were provided to all event attendeees. The Alliance also hosted regular virtual meeting of board and advisors to exchange ideas on managing the and developing the Alliance through covid and beyond.

Work with mid-career professionals to understand their paths from mid- management to senior cybersecurity leaders. The Alliance partnered with Washington university to develop curriculum, provide speakers/instructors, host, and manage eight full days of sessions. Due to covid, all events were held virtually. Throughout this program, the Alliance engaged approximately 32 speakers and 250 attendees. The Alliance normally hosts an annual summit, but due to covid, it was cancelled for 2021.
