Program areas at Rochester School of the Holy Childhood
Special Education Programs : School Program - serves children with developmental disabilities ages 5-21. Instruction includes reading, writing, math, science, prevocational training, life skills, job-readiness skills, supported employment for students, art and adaptive physical education. Diagnostic and treatment services in the areas of speech, medicine/nursing, psychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy and social work are also provided. (120 students)
Advisory: provide support to affiliated Bakery providing employment and training to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
Community-based Prevocational services - provides job-readiness, vocational and prevocational training to adults with developmental disabilities, both on-site and in the community (~65 individuals)
Employment Services - provides job skills development and assists individuals, aged 18 and older, in obtaining competitive employment (40 individuals)
Article 16 clinic - provides diagnostic and treatment services in the areas of medicine/nursing, psychology, occupational therapy and social work. (65 individuals)
Production/training - serves adults with developmental disabilities by providing paid work and work skills opportunities through a bakery and workshop. (~65 individuals)
Services for Individuals with Disabilities: Day Hab/Day Hab without Walls - assists individuals with developmental disabilities with transition from school program to adult services, life skills and coping mechanisms, both on-site and in the community (28 individuals)
Hourly Respite Program - provides recreational and socialization opportunites for children and adult consumers, and provides consumer families with a respite from care-giving. (110 students, adults, families)
Services for Individuals with Disabilities: Guardianship/Recreation/Community Hab: Guardianship: Serve as guardian to advocate for the individuals, to oversee services and to visit with the individuals (4 individuals); Recreation: Support socialization and activities outside of the program day for individuals with disabilities(10 individuals); Community Hab: assist individuals with life skills/activities and coping mechanisms (1 individual); Project Uplift: assist with financial need
