Ohio Health Care Association

The Ohio Health Care Association (ohca) is an information and education resource to Ohio's long-term Care providers, their suppliers, consultants and to the public at large. At the end of 2022, ohca had 1,221 member organizations with 76,166 beds, along with 308 associate members. The membership included 152 id/dd facilities, 29 id/dd waiver providers, 325 assisted living communities, 52 home Care providers, and 30 hospice providers. Ohca advocates on behalf of its members with the legislative and executive branches of government about issues that are important to the long-term Care profession. Through ohca's education foundation, they offered 69 scholarships to individuals attending Health profession schools and 6 certification scholarships for professionals, along with 86 live webinars with 2,443 participants and 49 live programs with 1,891 participants. Convention offered 92 educational sessions for 1,416 participants, 1,067 exhibit booth personnel and 298 exhibit booths. Ohca also provides public affairs programming to promote the long-term Care professional.

Ohca provided numerous informational communications to members, including a weekly electronic newsletters for skilled nursing, id/dd, home Care, hospice & assisted living and various member bulletins. In 2022, ohca also offered programs under which members receive discounts on goods and services from vendors, plus sold long-term Care resource materials to members and others.
