Program areas at Lutherans For Life
Pro-Life, Pro-Family Ministry: Lutherans For Life has developed a wide variety of pro-life and family resources educating on life issues from the beginning of life through the end of life. Resources for pastors, congregations, and lay people are provided at the national headquarters and in the field through Lutherans For Life Leadership/Speaker Training Seminars, and other educational events. Word of Hope, Lutherans For Life post-abortion ministry, brings hurting women and men together with Christian caregivers so that hope, healing, and reconciliation with the Lord might be realized. Lutherans For Life affiliates have established caring pregnancy centers, post-abortion ministries, and congregational programs that provide supportive services.
Y4Life: Y4Life is an initiative of Lutherans for Life to equip young people (high school through college) to be Gospel-motivated voices for life. This is done through campus Life Teams, education of future church-workers on life issues, educating youth on sexual purity, educational servant events, and a variety of other programs.
Life Teams: Life Teams are an initiative within the Mission and Ministry Department to equip a group of members within a single congregation, with the knowledge an encouragement of the Pastor, to be Gospel-motivated voices for life in their paticular context. A Life Team enables the congregation to deal with life issues as part of their ongoing ministry of the Gospel like stewardship, evangelism, or missions committees.
Owens Mission & Word of Hope: Owens Mission is a project utlilized to honor Jesus by presenting a set of Touch of Life fetal models to every Lutheran elementary and high school in the country. Word of Hope is a post-abortion ministry, which bring hurting women together with Christian caregivers so that hope, healing, and reconciliation with the Lord might be experienced.
