Program areas at Indiana Public Broadcasting Stations
In fy 2022, ipbs successfully pursued its service plan as laid out in the fy 2022 operating budget under content and special projects. Highlights include 1) production and airing of the governor's state of the state address, chief justice's state of the judiciary address, and a state of education production featuring the commissioner for higher education, secretary of education, and commissioner for workforce development, 2) production of ipbs's annual statehouse days event during which state legislators were interviewed regarding important issues of the day and current legislative priorities, 3) expanded deployment of datacasting across Indiana (thanks to a grant from the in department of education) to aid student engagement and bridge the digital divide, and 4) growth of ipb news. An ipb news business model, governance structure, and sustainability plan were developed and implemented. Furthermore, an ipb news digital revenue model, new product strategy, and rebranding recommendations were developed.
