Students in ehtp's high school Program took a range of elective college and career-readiness courses such as the mt. Sinai cloud-based data science+, a 14-week virtual biostatistics Program as well as ethp-developed photography, writing, and stem coursework. We started real talk (an open space for students to receive in-person social-emotional support on a weekly basis with our licensed social worker) for high school scholars in response in the difficulties that arose from the pandemic.we continued to offer college support including college essay writing, tutoring and sat preparation, and enrichment courses for grades 9-12. Every rising high school senior was paired with a volunteer mentor and received support with the college application process from start to finish. We are proud to report that 100 percent of our 30 high school seniors participating in the programs successfully graduated high school and were admitted to two-year or four-year colleges.

Elementary Program & teaching residencythrough our out-of-school time (ost) Program, ehtp's elementary Program served 178 students in grades k-5, providing students with an intensive after-school curriculum that emphasizes literacy and math complemented by a variety of enrichment activities aimed at sparking life-long passions. Elementary Program classes are led by a cohort of highly-qualified teachers-in-training from ehtp's East Harlem teaching residency. Each resident is responsible for planning, writing and delivering content-specific lessons to elementary ost students. Residents provide instruction to students from 3:30-5:30pm, monday-thursday, set academic and behavioral goals for their students, and measure their students' goals to progress on a regular basis. Furthermore, residents foster students' social and emotional growth and improve academic behaviors through daily structured class meetings and regular activities that hone in on the core values of ehtp, such as service and leadership.
