Marketing and communications - to position Washington, DC as a leading leisure and Convention Destination through targeted and integrated marketing and public relations efforts.
Tourism - to build relationships with tour operators, wholesalers, receptive operators, travel agents, sporting event organizers, and travel service providers to increase domestic and international group and individual packaged travel.
Convention sales and services - 1) to position and sell Washington, DC as a Destination for corporate and association meetings and conventions, creating connections with customers through personal sales calls, trade shows, and meaningful client events. 2) to provide support to Convention and meeting planners that book groups in Washington, DC by conducting site inspections, providing promotional information and attendance support, and distributing service leads to member businesses.
Visitor services - to generate interest and demand in the Destination by serving as a trusted source for visitor and "DC insider" information to encourage new and repeat visitation.
Registration services - to generate revenue streams and designed to help customers with their specialized needs.
Events and education - to generate revenue streams to raise funds for american experience foundation, which supports students through travel experience and scholarship.
Partnership services - to provide financial support for ddc's marketing efforts by recruiting and retaining members and securing corporate sponsors.
