Program areas at CDCB

To assist low-income families in attaining or preserving home ownership or affordable rental housing through housing counseling, affordable rents, below market financing, construction and use of the home designs and target outreach. Built and/or financed 68 single family homes for home ownership, assisted 455 families with rental assistance, and developed 38 rental units. Assisted 803 families with first time home ownership counseling visits, making 155 families home buyer ready, conducted 12 financial education classes.
The youthbuild program seeks to line job training education enhancement and affordable housing production by working with drop-out youths from low income families between the ages of 16 and 24. Cdcb youthbuild provides a range of support services, including child care, along with a training stipend. A major focus is to provide work opportunities in the participant's own neighborhood.youthbuild enrolled 34 students, 26 students passed the ged, 30 gained their nccer and osha certificate, and 33 students went to work or higher education. 32 gained nims cnc certification & 31 obtained microsoft office suite certifications.
