Counseling and support groups - all of our professional oncology social workers hold a master's degree and are experts at helping people cope with Cancer, manage emotions such as anxiety or sadness, improve communication with their health Care team, and find reliable information and resources in their community. Counseling and face-to-face support groups are led by Cancer Care oncology social workers at our offices in new york city, long island, new jersey and Connecticut. Cancer Care also offers telephone and online support groups and resource navigation services for those living outside of the new york tri-state area.
Financial assistance - we help with cancer-related costs such as transportation to and from treatment, home Care, child Care, otc pain medication, and lymphedema supplies.
Information and publication - education workshops offer the latest information from leading oncology experts over the phone or online as a webcast. Our easy-to-read publications are written by experts and provide reliable information on coping with Cancer and treatment updates.
