The Asrt Foundation awarded 71 scholarships. 22 scholarships, totaling 85,000, were awarded to students attending entry-level educational programs in medical imaging and radiation therapy. An additional 49 scholarships, totaling 176,600, were awarded to medical imaging technologists and radiation therapists pursuing additional certifications or a degree. The Foundation's scholarships were awarded through a competitive process bringing together a volunteer committee of experts in the field to review and score the applicants.
The Asrt Foundation's hciac corporate roundtable enhanced patient care and helped increase the body of knowledge in the radiologic sciences by bringing together corporate leaders at an annual summit where experts present relevant industry-related information as well as allowing for a roundtable discussion of the most pressing concenrns for the industry. The Asrt Foundation communicates regularly with the hciac partners to discuss priority issues.
The Asrt Foundation awarded 15 global outreach grants, 3 continuing education conference travel grants and 2 research grants. The topics of the research grants funded were novel diagnostic assessment of pediatric covid survivors: managing chronic covid symptoms and blood pooling during prolonged sitting on cardiovascular outcomes.
