Program areas at American Theological Library Association

Atla supports its membership by: 1) creating databases for scholarly research in theology and religion that libraries offer to the students and faculty they serve, and 2) providing professional development and collaborative projects for librarians that are created and managed by the member programs department. These opportunities include an annual conference, workshops, webinars, reciprocal borrowing between libraries, and open access publications. During fiscal year 2022, atla expanded the amount of content in the religion database to over 3.3 million bibliographic references. The full text content in atlas and atlas plus is now 650 titles. The atla annual conference was held as a hybrid event and attracted more than 250 attendees both in person and online. Atla open press published 3 new books and 6 serial issues.
