Afsmc given $500k for the ukraine field hospital.in response to the war in ukraine, israel made the decision to put a field hospital into ukraine and put Sheba Medical Center in charge of it. 2. $1.85m commitment for stem cell processing Center and dna/rna clinical unitsheba received a committment from a foundation that began giving heavily to Medical causes to contribute $1.85m over two years. $1,000,000 toward Sheba's national stem cell processing Center and $865,000 toward establishing the dna and rna clinical unit. Both of these contributions will allow Sheba to make meaningful steps forward in those areas.3. $11m is contributed toward the new oncology hospitalsheba is a world leader in many aspects of cancer treatment. Dr. talia golan is an internationally known name in pancreatic cancer and the brca mutation. Sheba also has been a leader in freezing cancer cells in breast and prostate cancer, among other treatments. However, the current oncology building is not up to the needs of the program and patients and the Medical Center is erective a major new building to house all cancer treatment, radiation therapy, screening, etc. Sheba secured funding in the amount of $11m in 2022 to help cover the costs.
